Savory Kielbasa Potato Stew
This is a hearty low calorie stew that you will surely love!
Ingredients:
- ½ pound of cooked turkey kielbasa (sliced thinly)
- One pound of red potatoes (diced)
- One onion, cut into thin wedges
- One rib celery (sliced)
- Two cups of water
- Two packets of beef bouillon powder
- ¼ tsp. freshly ground black pepper
- ½ tsp. dried savory
- One cup of frozen peas, thawed
Preparation:
This will yield about four servings.
First, cook the kielbasa in a nonstick pan on medium heat, making sure to stir. Do this until it has browned slightly, this will take you about eight minutes. Then take the kielbasa, the onions, the celery, the water, the bouillon, the potatoes, the pepper, and the savory and add it all to the crock pot. Then cover this all and allow it to cook on low until the vegetables have become tender, this will take about five to seven hours, but you may also cook it on high for three to five hours.
Then add in the peas and cover the pot again. Cook it all until the peas are nice and tender, for about five minutes. You are ready to serve!
